MacGregor Recruitment are specialist recruiters for the UK fenestration sector. We are recruiting for a Service Engineer on behalf of our client, a manufacturer and supplier of aluminium windows, doors & roof lanterns.
As a field based Service Engineer you will help support aluminium Window and Door customers across the Northern region (Northern ENgland & Scotland), assessing and servicing any technical issues that may arise, and ensuring that every customer is 100% satisfied with the installation, the products, and the excellent customer service our client prides itself on.
In our opnion this could be an excellent opportunity for a time served installer to move into a customer focused Service Engineer role, or equally for an experienced Service Engineer.
The role is listed as Leeds - but candidates across the North of England will be considered as the location within the Northern region is flexible
Service Engineer role:
* Collaborate with the installation and customer service teams to resolve any reported issues promptly.
* Diagnosing and resolving product issues, and the servicing, repair and maintenance of aluminum windows and doors as required.
* Installation of replacement components, i.e. seals, handles, hinges, and glazing units.
* Provide detailed technical assessments for any faults identified, ensuring that customer service issues are addressed efficiently.
* Advise customers on product care and maintenance
* Maintain accurate service records, including job completion reports and updates
* Ensure compliance with industry health and safety standards at all times.
Skills & Experience:
* A background that includes installing windows & doors is essential
* Specific experience in a similar service engineer role with expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining aluminum products is highly advantageous
* The successful candidate will have a strong customer service approach and good communication skills
* An ability to manage your own workload efficiently and work autonomously in the field
* Strong problem-solving skills with good attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Full UK driving license.
* Please note that occasional overnight stays may be required
Package:
* A salary circa £35k DOE
