In this role, youll assist project teams in developing certification for submarine escape, evacuation, and rescue. You'll play a crucial role in supporting all aspects of SM EER across the submarine enterprise, including in-service, in-build, future classes, and disposals. Plus, you'll get to contribute to naval authority assurance activities at submarine waterfront locations. Your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful. You'll review, research, and develop technical standards and processes for SM EER systems and components. This includes conducting technical investigations into innovative technologies or applications for SM EER components, challenging the status quo, and planning engineering activities to enhance safety and inform policy. At the SDA, we champion flexible ways of working. Regular in-person attendance is required (this is expected to be a minimum of 40%) to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration alongside flexibility of hours to support work-life balance.
