SEND Teaching Assistant –
Location: Teesside
Salary: £85 - £108 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only (Temporary to Permanent)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Overview
We are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Teesside. This role is ideal for a compassionate and experienced individual who is passionate about supporting neurodivergent students and those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and learning difficulties. The position involves one-to-one and small group support, helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored learning support to students with SEND, adapting materials as needed
* Assist in managing behavior using a firm but fair approach
* Encourage students' independence and confidence in the classroom
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective support strategies
* Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
