Working within the Cultural and Community Services area, the post holder will be required to carry out a wide range of administrative tasks to support the Communities team and the Active Communities and Health team. The main focus of the role is to organise, administer and minute meetings, such as the Council Community Forums and the various multi-agency Community Safety and Health Partnership meetings throughout the year.
You will need the skills to undertake a range of administrative duties, which will include accurately minuting meetings, designing promotional material, updating social media, maintaining databases, financial administration, responding to enquiries from members of the public, Councillors and partner organisations, and other day-to-day duties to support the diverse range of services within the Cultural and Community Services area.
The post holder will be required to administer and attend daytime and occasional evening meetings, as well as undertaking a range of associated tasks involving Elected Members, Officers within Council and partner organisations. You will also be required to support the delivery of public events throughout the District.

You should have a Level 2 Business Administration qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent administration experience and have experience/knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Working patterns are generally 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, however due to the nature of the role, you will also support and run events and attend meetings which may require evening and weekend working. The Flexible Hours Working Scheme applies to this post.
