We are looking for a therapy assistant to work within the Redditch and Bromsgrove area. The Reablement Team assists patients requiring support and rehabilitation on discharge from hospital, and those in the community who need increased care or therapy input. Interventions and assessments are holistic, person centred, and focused on maximising independence. This is an exciting opportunity to work under the guidance of qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists whilst working closely with other disciplines, gaining knowledge and experience across a variety of specialities. This is a part time post, with 27.5 hours offered over 4 days (flexible working considered). Main duties of the job As a member of the reablement team, you will work closely with health and social care staff, having the unique opportunity to experience both sectors. You will work under the guidance of qualified therapists, providing patient centred interventions, and following treatment programmes to meet the goals of each service user. You will complete functional assessments, complete regular reviews of their progress and alter their reablement plan accordingly to maintain a goal focus under the guidance of qualified therapists. You will work closely with both health and social care colleagues, in a blended approach to patient care. Physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists, therapy assistants and social care staff undertake collaborative working on a daily basis to ensure that all patient needs are met. Regular clinical supervision and professional support are provided. The post is based on a 4 shift weekly pattern. Flexible working arrangements considered.
