We have new fixed-term opportunity to be a part of the Aston Martin Performance Technologies team in the role of Bill of Materials Coordinator - AMPT .
You will be responsible for:
* Ownership of the AMPT key project’s Bill of Materials (BoM).
* Overall responsibility for the accurate BoM control and creating & maintaining comprehensive project status reports and documentation, including reporting on key metrics to stakeholders.
* Processing all AMPT Release Orders onto Business Systems within 1 working day.
* Receiving Release Orders and interpreting relevant data to update BoMs with respect to added items, deleted items, quantity changes, corrections, and effective dates.
* Ensuring all Part Master data for components and assemblies is entered and correct.
* Ensuring all parts contained in the BoM are correctly set up and structured in Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) with high emphasis on right first time.
* Developing and applying Works/Shop Order routing templates where appropriate.
* Reviewing project plans and proactively progress chase upcoming information releases to contribute to overall project delivery.
* Verifying the completeness and consistency of BoM data to support manufacturing, procurement, inventory planning and other relevant processes. Act as the key interface between engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure BoM accuracy and usability.
* Liaising with production to ensure that information requirements are fulfilled for manufacturing, contributing to overall project delivery.
* Periodically reviewing the Release Order Processing procedure and ensuring broad alignment with the wider strategy.
* Supporting the Programme Management Function with other relevant activities and tasks, as required.
* Compliance with the H&S standards and requirements, as relevant to the role and working environment.
* Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Management, in alignment with this role.
What you will need to be successful in this role :
* Degree level qualification in Automotive, Mechanical, Motorsport Engineering, Manufacturing or related field, or equivalent qualification or experience.
* Competence in reading and understanding technical drawings.
* Working knowledge of Bill of Material structures for planning and manufacturing, product lifecycle process and part numbering systems highly desirable.
* Previous Microsoft Project and production ERP system experience is advantageous, particularly but not limited to IFS or D365 for ERP.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve BoM-related issues.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Proactive attitude to seeking clarification, resolving issues and driving improvements.
* Enthusiastic, versatile, and able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships and manage stakeholders.
* Able to communicate effectively, positively, and respectfully with all colleagues.
* Self-motivated to thrive in a challenging environment.
* Able to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
* To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
* Desire to be involved in wider Programme Management function activities.
* Confident user of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Advanced skills in Excel and data analysis tools desirable.
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
