As a rapidly growing company and following an internal promotion, we are seeking a dynamic Management Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our mission. Summary As a Management Accountant at Rebel Energy, you will play a pivotal role in managing the monthly management accounts and reporting and be comfortable with change as the role will likely evolve over time as the company continues its fast growth curve.This will suit someone with high attention to detail and who takes satisfaction in producing clean numbers the business can trust. Key duties include: • Take full ownership of the month end process and production of monthly Management Accounts for Rebel Energy Supply Limited• Production of the monthly Financial Reporting pack and lead the discussion of the results with senior colleagues• Produce P&L and cashflow rolling forecasts and associated analysis/commentary• Become the energy industry subject matter expert within Finance• Lead on the internal reporting, analysis and provision of Management Information which allows sound and informed decisions to be made by the Leadership Team• Deliver timely and accurate monthly/quarterly compliance reports to Ofgem and other external parties• Carry out reconciliations of revenues and operating costs to ensure correctness• Continuous improvement of processes, controls and systems• In conjunction with the Finance Business Partner, have a commercial impact on the business i.e. identify cost savings and opportunities to increase revenue Person specification: • Qualified/newly qualified/Finalist accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or similar), ideally with a broad range of experience gained within Industry• Consider themselves to be an expert in all facets of management accounting including significant experience of producing high quality monthly management accounts/reprting• Comfortable working in a non-hierarchical, modern and progressive culture• Have commercial acumen and strong business partnering skills• Excellent IT skills with particular emphasis on excel knowledge. Power BI experience is desirable but not essential• Key personal attributes – hard working, high levels of attention to detail, flexible approach and willing to take ownership of tasks/projects• A real team player with high levels of integrity The role will be on a flexible basis with at least 50% of time spent in the Bedford office (within walking distance of Bedford train station)A competitive remuneration package is on offer for the right candidate, and this has the potential to grow in line with increased responsibilities.
