This is an opportunity for a Chartered Engineer (or someone working towards chartered status) with Civil / Structural Engineering industry experience, to move into a teaching and mentoring role, working with highly motivated students to MSc level and achieving Chartered Engineer status. These students spend nine months in the classroom, and fifteen months on civilian placements in industry being mentored by academic staff.
The Civil & Structural Engineering Senior Lecturer / Mentor will provide subject expertise within a small multidisciplinary teaching team with a focus on Structural Engineering, to enhance the teaching of current, state of the art, and emerging engineering practice.

Successful candidates are likely to have:
· Postgraduate qualification or significant professional practice in Structural Engineering or related subject area.
· Level 7 teaching qualification or a commitment to achieve one within 2 years of contract commencement.
· CEng or a commitment to work towards professional registration within 2 years of contract commencement.
