Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Independent Reviewing Officer, Wirral Council, Child Protection Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Improve the life chances of children and ensure that service provision leads to improved/positive outcomes for children.
2. Scrutinise (and where necessary challenge) the Local Authority in relation to their function in providing for the needs of Looked After Children and those the subject of Child Protection Plans.
3. Chair the child’s review and monitor the child’s case on an ongoing basis.
4. Liaise with other professionals.
5. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
6. 3 month Temporary Contract.
7. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
