Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will be working as part of our team in our busy day care centre, with lots of vocal and playful dogs of all breeds and sizes, in all weathers:
* You will be observing the dogs at all times to keep them safe and stress free and ensuring they are interacting well with each other
* You will keep them entertained throughout the day by paying games and walking them
* You will also be cleaning up their mess as well as feeding those who need it
* At the end of the day, you will help clean and disinfect the day care centre, toys, bowls and blankets
* As you progress you will interact with customers, booking dogs in and checking them out

* The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Animal Care Apprenticeship Standard
* The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and onsite visits throughout the apprenticeship
* The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship
* Functional skills, if required
