Provide Administrative support to enable the Practice to be run in an efficient and professional manner. Responsibilities are administrative in nature and involve non-clinical contact with patients and visitors. Flexibility is required during times of increased demand to the Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Type documents as required.
2. Use computer systems to book, reschedule, or cancel appointments.
3. Co-ordinate filing of correspondence through the Docman system.
4. Maintain patient access to records.
5. Support the department's administrative functions.
6. Work under pressure and manage disruptions effectively.
7. Exercise appropriate judgment when dealing with enquiries from patients, relatives, medical staff, and the public.
8. Make outgoing calls as required.
9. Answer telephone and relay messages to appropriate staff.
10. Support with Practice statistical collation and analysis.
11. Demonstrate good time management and report anticipated difficulties in meeting deadlines promptly.
12. Actively participate in peer group meetings, identify training needs, and develop accordingly.
13. Take responsibility for updating own mandatory training.
