Typical Job Activities & Responsibilities
· The ‘on site’ fostering of teamwork and providing technical support to production Staff and Technicians.
· Develop, Implement & Sustain Lean Strategies and Systems within our test and production facility.
· Support R&D activities with manufacturability analysis and specialised production equipment design.
· Undertake basic production planning activities and workflow levelling with the manufacturing facility.
· Hands on physical support and leadership of production activities if needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Manufacturing/Production Engineering or HNC / Vocational Certificates with appropriate and clearly demonstratable evidence of practical experience.
Required Experience
Ideally the candidate will have 2+ years’ experience in the ‘hands on’ continuous improvement of Lean Manufacturing at a recognised UK company. Alternatively, demonstration of good knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and with a strong desire to contribute to the continued development of a lean manufacturing system. In addition, the ideal candidate will have desired experience in one or more of the following:
· Production Planning & Flow Levelling
· Creation of standardised work for manufacturing operations
· Lean Cell Design
· Design of Production / Test Fixtures and Special Purpose Machines using 3D CAD
· LV Industrial controls design and Automation
· CNC Machining / Part Programming / Work holding Design.
· Metrology Inspection of Precision Parts
· SMT Electronics Manufacture and PCBA Build & Test
· Automatic Test Equipment Design for Electronics
