If you are an Engineering Geologist situated in Manchester looking for an opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your pragmatic design approach to remediating landslides, slopes, and rocks, then this position could be a perfect fit for you.
As an Engineering Geologist (rope access/design), you will be part of a well-experienced, specialist team of Engineering Geologists and Geotechnical design engineers helping to deliver a wide range of complex projects throughout the UK, UAE, and islands in the Atlantic Ocean.
Your role will be split between 75% office-based and 25% site-based, with some international travel expected. See below for the split.
Engineering Geologist Site-Based Tasks Include:
* Overseeing complex ground investigations (GIs)
* Field mapping
* Rock slope inspections
* Landslide assessments
* Rope access tasks
Engineering Geologist Office-Based Tasks Include:
* Detailed reporting and data analysis
* Ground modelling
* Producing detailed analysis and design for remedial works
* Assisting the Geotechnical team on designs for projects
Requirements:
* BEng/MSc in Engineering Geology, Geology, or a related field.
* 1-5 years' experience within UK engineering consultancy specializing in Geology.
* Interpretive reporting experience.
* Experience analyzing and designing slope stability (preferred but not essential)
* Rope access trained (preferred but not essential)
* Experience assessing landslides (preferred but not essential)
* Geological modeling and detailed design for remedial work (preferred but not essential)
