About the role
It’s exciting and busy times at Churchill Estates Management (CEM) as we look to expand our friendly Service Charge Finance team.
Due to our growth, we are looking to appoint two Senior Service Charge Accounts Administrators, within the Accounts and Finance team, based here in Ringwood. You’ll support the Service Charge Accounts Supervisor, the wider Service Charge team and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of Service Charge accounts for retirement developments across the UK.
Working within the Finance department, this role is varied in its responsibilities and will include:
4. Taking responsibility for a set of high-profile, complex service charge accounts to complete year end accounts, service charge budgets and bank reconciliations in accordance with the Churchill Estates workflow.
5. Assisting in complex query management and driving workflow.
6. Producing reliable estimated budgets for developments, liaising with the Regional and Area Management teams out in the field.
7. Analysis and reconciliation which may include assisting with onboarding and offboarding developments.
8. Acting as first point of contact and resolving complex queries about Lodge accounts across the wider team; being a ‘subject matter expert’.
The two vacant positions vary in their additional responsibilities, one being a people manager, supporting the team with day-to-day with queries, 1:1s, and other HR related matters, the other being responsible for the finance integration and onboarding of new business, working collaboratively with our commercial team.
The hours of work are 9.00am to 5.30pm on Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Friday, with one hour for lunch.
About you
For these roles its essential that you have proven experience of working within a Service Charge Accounts team, with the relevant accounting systems, procedures and knowledge of property management and leasehold. Experience of Qube would be an advantage. You will be qualified to A-level standard and ideally hold a qualification in accounting or IRPM.
In addition, you will demonstrate excellent keyboard skills and knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook to an intermediate / advanced standard.
You will possess excellent organisation and communication skills, able to multi-task and prioritise workload with strong attention to detail. You’ll love working alongside an office-based team, and, as the Senior Service Charge Accounts Administrator, you’ll role-model professional attributes such as resilience, self-motivation, enthusiasm and initiative.
