We are seeking a Cloud Services Engineer with SQL Server and database skills to join our Technology team based in Worcester. As Cloud Services Engineer (Database), you will provide technical expertise to support the operational delivery, design, development, and continuous improvement of Technology Cloud and Database hosting Services at Sanctuary. Attention to detail is important in this role.
The role of Cloud Services Engineer will include:
* Providing technical expertise to support the delivery of Cloud and Database solutions to meet the future needs of the Group.
* Delivering day-to-day operations of Cloud and Database hosting infrastructure services across the Group, contributing to service delivery to ensure that services are efficient, fit-for-purpose, robust, and integrated.
* Managing the effective resolution of technical infrastructure problems and assisting research for the possibilities of new technologies.
* Supporting the management of external suppliers, ensuring value for money, with efficiencies achieved where possible.
* Ensuring Cloud and Database systems are secure and robust to maximize system availability to business users across the Group. This will include database patching, monitoring, backup & recovery.
Skills and experiences:
* ITIL Foundation Certificate.
* Qualifications in Cloud Solutions: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals & Azure Data Fundamentals.
* Experience of supporting the management of technology infrastructure in a large, complex organization.
* Experience in Azure cloud infrastructure technologies e.g. Entra ID, ARC, Compute, Storage, Virtual Desktop, Automation, Monitor, Policy, Azure Data Solutions.

* Role salary is £36,680 with an additional policy allowance of £10,817 per annum (rising to £38,611 with an additional policy allowance of £11,386 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance).
