The role is a primary function supporting the team for the optimal care of our patients. The delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate health care to our private patients of the Candover Clinic which is part of Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust is the most important objective for the organisation.
• To support the team in the delivery of the service, this includes:
• High standards of Professional Practice to ensure quality and safety of patient care, experience, and the patient journey.
• Developing own clinical practice, knowledge, skills, and experience.
• Acting as a good role model
• Supporting the team in ensuring that clinical services are delivered to a high quality of care and that all compliance requirements such as CQC and contractual requirements are achieved.
• To undertake the comprehensive pre-assessment of patients using appropriate investigative and history taking skills.
• Ability to undertake practical clinical skills such as assisting consultants with clinical procedures as well as ability to work independently to provide optimal clinical services to the patients.
• Ability to work within own scope of practice and have judgment to seek guidance as required.

1. Supporting senior nursing team with the day to day running of the OPD.
2. Bookings management to include booking patients for pre assessment, bloods and other appointments. Maintaining the OPD diary and coordinating with other MDT.
3. Setting up clinic for daily use following consultant preferences.
4. To take on the role of BLS train the trainer as a champion for the PP business unit.
5. Pre assessment of patients prior to surgery
6. Venepuncture and Cannulation
7. Assisting with minor operations.
8. Wound Care, urology clinics, flow rates, gynaecology clinic to include chaperoning and assisting with biopsy's, fitting and removal of coils and implants.
9. Stock rotation and management.
10. Occasionally assisting with the candover suite and minor procedures unit when needed.
