Associate Director - Estates
Norwich & Buxton
£64,000 Per annum
37 Hours per week
Norse Consulting is a national, award-winning property consultancy delivering high profile commissions to a range of public and private sector clients across the UK. Our multi-disciplined teams provide a number of property services to our clients, undertaking a wide range of projects including residential/commercial/educational of varying size and complexity, resulting in innovative, sustainable and commercially viable delivery.
The Estates Team includes highly experienced property professionals providing estates and asset management services to a range of clients and have been doing so for over 25 years. We are a strategic partner to a number of Local Authorities delivered through our joint venture model and deliver services through a range of contract types, with the aim of understanding and delivering the needs of our clients.
The role itself will be based across two different offices within the Norse Group, this would equate to a 60/40 split between both. Our Head Office in Norwich will be the primary location, however, there would also be a requirement to travel to our office in Buxton (Alliance Norse) too.
As Associate Director you will be responsible for supporting senior management in managing property professional and technical staff specialising in property management and the provision of the valuation and estates management service.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Providing inspirational leadership, management and direction in a manner consistent with the Group values.
2. Ensure the effective day to day management and provide robust performance management of the team.
3. Work in conjunction with all clients to develop, implement and monitor property strategies in accordance with the client's corporate plans.
4. Liaise with clients in support of Estate & Asset Management initiatives.
5. Responsible for monitoring the income and expenditure of the team.
6. Continually striving for best practice.
7. Provide proactive and responsive strategic advice to clients on all property issues.
8. Ensuring the valuation Team business plan and financial targets are achieved.
9. Meet business growth targets and responsible for identifying new business opportunities.
10. Ensure effective managing and resourcing of work and inspire a culture of excellent and continuous improvement.
11. Effectively maintaining existing client relationships.
12. Fee earning and contribute to the achievement of the Estates business plan objectives and targets.
13. Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the grade of the post including frequent travel to other offices as required.
Our Successful Candidate:
It is expected that you will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an Estates related discipline.
* Significant relevant experience with at least 10 years post qualification
* Previous experience in managing a Team and/or management responsibilities
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Willing to travel to different offices outside of Norwich
