Our client is a dynamic and high growth group of companies within the manufacturing industry ideally located in Redditch. As a result of a mixture of growth and international promotion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Company Accountant to join the business on either a FTC or permanent basis. Working closely with the Finance Director, this role will work as part of a small but well established team and is very much a end to end role support the FD with Management / Financial Accounting but also assisting the Finance Clerk with Purchase, Sales and General ledger duties. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a creative and flexible approach, you will be numerate, conscientious, disciplined, organised, versatile, and personable. A hands-on person who is willing to support other areas of the business when the circumstances arise. Advanced knowledge of Excel (IF, VLookup) and Sage/Xero would be desirable as it is required so to manage all elements of our financial accounting requirements. Duties to include, but not limited to: · Purchase ledger: daily processing purchase invoices, credit card receipts and payments · Supplier management and do all payment runs (Weekly / Monthly) · Financial Reporting - For review by FD · Bank reconciliations · Sales ledger Cover: raising sales invoices, statements - Overlap cover · Credit Control Cover - Overlap cover · Knowledge of Stocks / GRNi. Dealing with any financial queries · Quarterly Re-Forecasts & Annual Budgets - For review by FD. Weekly debtors, creditors, and Cash Flow Forecasting - For review by FD · Preparation of monthly profit & loss & balance sheets with full reconciliations - For review by FD · Financial report management - Margin Analysis / Commentary · Quarterly preparation and review of VAT return - Submit via MTD · Year end preparation - Audit Packs and Lead Schedules.. Payroll - Journals The ideal candidate will have previous experience gained within a similar position likely to have been operating as Book Keeper / Management, Financial or Company Accountant. Whilst a level of qualification in AAT / ACCA / CIMA is ideal, those that are QBE but can demonstrate suitable experience will be considered. Experience with accounting systems with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Sage Line 50, Xero An enthusiastic approach to work A 'can do’ attitude, and "role up the sleeves" approach, as is the nature of the business, which means flexibility is often required. Excellent numerical ability Meticulous attention to detail and time management - Reporting Deadlines are key. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload. In return this position can be offered on either a FTC or Permanent basis and will offer a basic salary of £35,000 to £45,000 DOE plus benefits and bonus.
