Communications Specialist at Ethylin Plant Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Communications Specialist to join our clients team at the Ethylin Plant in FIFE SCOTLAND. This role requires expertise in a specific marketing discipline such as media, operations, agency management, digital, or event management. You will plan, execute, and manage marketing activities, programs, and budgets in alignment with our marketing communications and brand strategies. Acting as the point of contact for internal and external vendors, you will also share best practices across Global Business Units and Lines of Business. Key Responsibilities: Lead the company's community contributions program, collaborating with local charities, Community Councils, and Groups to identify funding opportunities. Administer the contributions program. Collaborate with colleagues to promote STEM education initiatives with local schools. Develop and deliver proactive communications to enhance understanding of company operations. Enhance our social media and web presence with engaging and informative content. Write compelling copy for digital and print channels. Develop short-term campaigns to support key issues such as recruitment. Work with the media team to identify local communication opportunities and assist in developing news releases. Coordinate the creation of photographic and video materials. Engage with internal teams and monitor external activities to identify potential issues. Respond to community inquiries and complaints. Skills and Qualifications: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. At least 3-5 years of experience in communications and engagement with a proven track record. Experience engaging with community representatives, schools, and charities. Strong writing skills with experience in story identification and development. Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences. Experience in digital communications, including web and social media. Knowledge of web content management systems. Strong interpersonal skills.
