As an Activities Driver, you will play a crucial role in providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities, ensuring they can fully participate and enjoy the enriching experiences on offer.
Main duties of the job
Your focus will be on providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities, while also assisting them with any special needs during the journey. This may include carrying packages, opening doors, helping residents onto and out of the vehicle, and ensuring they reach their destination safely. You will need to have a PCV license with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record, as well as the ability to react calmly in emergencies and be considerate towards the residents. The role also involves providing miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed.

1. Providing transportation services for residents.
2. Assisting residents with any special needs during transportation, such as carrying packages, opening doors, and assisting residents onto and out of the vehicle.
3. Always focusing on driving; directing tasks and passenger interactions to onboard support staff while the vehicle is in motion.
4. Providing miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed.
Minimum Requirements
To be successful in your application, you must live our values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability in everything you do. Our ideal candidate must:
* Have a PCV license with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record.
* Attend periodic Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training as required.
* Be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety procedures.
* Be able to react calmly in emergencies and be considerate.

Please note this role will require:
* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
