Nidec Power Field Technician Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our team within the Power division.
As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical operations for our customers, as well as managing projects and key tasks within the service department when not on-site.
* Respond promptly to urgent requests for on-site support
* Maintain equipment for customers and resolve electrical or mechanical breakdowns
* Conduct on-site investigations to identify the root cause of failures
* Ensure strict compliance with legal Health and Safety Regulations and Nidec policy
* Provide on-call assistance to customers via telephone
* Manage work-related administration, including on-site reports and travel arrangements
* Communicate with sales department to resolve customer issues
* Coordinate with sales administration team to process internal orders correctly
* Ensure projects align with Health and Safety policies, considering geographical risk and customer feedback
* Liaise with sales and sales administration team to generate further sales opportunities
This role requires frequent travel within the UK and Ireland.
* ONC or BTEC in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering
* Experience in maintaining rotating electrical machines
* Strong understanding of electrotechnical principles
* Strong understanding of electric motor and alternator operation and maintenance
* Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
* Results-oriented and focused on objectives
* Ability to provide excellent customer service in challenging situations
