To be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of tendering, delivering high-quality bid and tender submission, contributing to the overall strategic goals of Cartrefi. To be responsible for implementing an effective fundraising and income generation strategy aligned to the objectives of our strategic plan.
What you will do:
* Manage all aspects of tenders and fundraising proposals including the submission of expressions of interest, pre-qualification questionnaires, tenders, and grant applications.
* Develop and implement tendering and fundraising strategies to meet organisational targets.
* Collaborate with other departments to identify funding opportunities and prepare tender submissions.
* Ensure all fundraising activities align with the organisation's values and goals.
* Contribute to the professional development of the tendering and fundraising team, stay informed about industry trends and best practices, and monitor market intelligence to identify and report on new tender and fundraising opportunities.
* Prepare written tender submissions for new and existing work.
* Assist in preparing tender presentations, acting as an ambassador for Cartrefi.
* Review contracts and other tendering information to ensure our tender proposals are compliant, realistic, and competitive.
* Research potential fundraising opportunities through newsletters and fundraising databases.
* Build positive relations between the company and all relevant stakeholders, either directly or through supporting and enabling good relations at service manager and support colleague levels in line with the organisational values.
Qualifications, knowledge and experience:
* Significant experience of writing tenders for social care contracts.
* Proven track record of writing grant applications or other fundraising activities and end-to-end management of the tender process, ideally in a social care or equivalent environment.
* Experience of using digital tendering sites such as eTender Wales.
* Experience of communicating positively and effectively with people across a range of backgrounds and status levels.
* Experience of writing and delivering presentations.
* Good knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities.
* Ability to manage a range of conflicting priorities.
* Experience of managing others effectively, coaching and mentoring, and encouraging personal development.
* Strong numerical and literacy skills.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and evaluate identified opportunities and provide detailed reports.
* Ability to work collaboratively with others inputting into the tender process.
* Methodical, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task whilst delivering consistent quality work with a high level of accuracy.
* Proactive, highly motivated individual.
* Experience of managing a high volume of work, prioritising, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Team player who collaborates well with immediate and wider team.
Other Requirements:
* Full, clean driving licence with access to a vehicle.
* Willingness to travel to our sites across Wales and attend external meetings, acting as an ambassador for Cartrefi.
* Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh*.
