Job overview

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Pharmacist to lead our well-respected specialist medicine pharmacy team that provides high quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.
You will work closely with other clinical leads in the pharmacy and with divisional senior medical, nursing and management staff.
This post is a 12-month maternity leave cover post.
Main duties of the job
* To lead, deliver, develop and evaluate pharmacy services to specialist medicine services across all sites within UHDB.
* To ensure that medicines are used safely and effectively in specialist medicine business units.
* To lead the clinical pharmacy team in specialist medicine, acting as a role model and developing the team.
* Facilitate the cost-effective use of medicines by providing regular reports to the Divisional/business unit management.
* Deputise for the Deputy Chief Pharmacist – Clinical as required.
* Maintain and develop policies and procedures covering all aspects of the pharmacy service.
* Practice as an independent pharmacist prescriber in line with competencies and the Trust Non-Medical Prescribing Policy.

* Higher degree in a relevant subject, e.g. MSc/PhD/DPharm.
