This is a unique opportunity to establish and manage a brand-new solo placement EBD children’s home in Wolverhampton (WV3). If you are passionate about providing outstanding care, building an exceptional team, and making a lasting impact on young lives, we want to hear from you.
This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to create a nurturing home where children feel safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Your Role as Registered Manager
As Registered Manager, you will take responsibility for launching and leading this new service with the responsible individual, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and staff development. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading Ofsted Registration & Compliance – Ensuring the home meets all regulatory requirements from day one and working towards achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ ratings.
* Building & Managing an Exceptional Team – Recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing care team that shares your commitment to child-centred, therapeutic support.
* Delivering Tailored, Trauma-Informed Care – Overseeing individualised care plans that address each child’s emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
* Developing Strong External Partnerships – Working closely with local authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals to provide holistic, wraparound support.
* Managing Budgets & Resources – Ensuring financial efficiency while prioritising high-quality care and staff development.
* Driving a Positive Culture – Creating a nurturing, stable, and inclusive environment where children and staff thrive.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and results-driven leader with a passion for transforming the lives of vulnerable children.
* Leadership Experience – Proven success as a Registered Manager in an EBD children’s residential setting.
* Regulatory Expertise – Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and best practices in children’s care.
* Qualifications – Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children and Young People’s Services (or working towards it).
* Inspirational Leadership – Ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a committed team while fostering a hands-on, child-focused approach.
* Therapeutic Approach – Experience with trauma-informed, person-centred care that prioritises emotional well-being and personal growth.
* Passion & Dedication – A deep commitment to making a real, lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
What’s in It for You?
* Competitive Salary – Earn up to £50,000 per year
* Clear Career Progression – As the organisation expands, there will be opportunities for you to step into senior leadership roles.
* Professional Development – Ongoing training, qualifications, and structured career support to help you grow.
* Empowered Leadership – The autonomy to shape the home’s culture, operations, and success, backed by a values-driven organisation.
* A Rewarding Role – Work for a company that prioritises quality care and positive outcomes, not just ticking boxes.
