This role is working within an already established team on a wide range of different projects across Oil/Gas/Nuclear as well as construction projects UK wide. This role will be based across a project based in Teesside and working alongside the Commercial Manager.

Description
As a Cost Engineer/Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects.
Your key duties include:
Overseeing and executing commercial activities as determined by the Regional Commercial & Site Management.
Undertaking various functions,, ranging from administrative support to assuming the role of Commercial Lead. Your specific tasks will be determined by the Regional Commercial & Site Management.
Providing focused support on commercial and costing matters.
Operating in a site based role in Teesside, as directed by the Regional Commercial Manager.
Profile
Ideally you will have:
A BSc in Quantity Surveying or an HND in Quantity Surveying (or another relevant degree, depending on experience).
Experience working in contracting commercial departments is preferred.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of relevant Construction and Engineering Industry conditions of contract.
Proficiency in using the most recent version of Microsoft Office applications relevant to the role is essential.
Familiarity with reading and extracting data from at least one Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Treat all stakeholders (both internal and external) with respect and consideration in all company activities.
Be adept at valuing interim work, final accounts, variations, and claims, understanding their impact on time, cost, and revenue.
Vigorously inspect and control the quality of work performed by commercial teams and other teams involved in commercial functions.
