Company:
Maintenance and refurbishment SME that specialise in social housing / compliance. Looking to take on an Electrical Supervisor to head up a team of electricians.
Day-to-Day Duties
* Lead and manage small projects, survey, and supervise a team of electricians.
* Manage daily operations to ensure works are completed successfully within the required timeframe, specifications, and client needs.
* Document work using the company’s software and report to your manager.
* Plan, manage, and oversee all works, including variations or delays, and notify clients as necessary.
* Coordinate with management to ensure adequate labor and sub-contractor resources are available on site.
* Oversee materials and deliveries to ensure alignment with the program and project specifications.
* Motivate and manage site staff, supervisors, field engineers, and subcontractors to meet targets.
* Ensure workmanship and material standards comply with specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation, and company policy.
* Act as the primary contact between the Contracts Manager and site personnel.
* Oversee RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), toolbox talks, and documentation.
* Verify all inspection and testing results promptly to avoid delays, maintaining due care during verification.
* Stay updated with industry regulations.
* Act as the QS for the company’s electrical division and participate in NICEIC annual assessments.
* Demonstrate sound judgment, problem-solving, decision-making, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results for clients and colleagues.
Minimum Requirements (Skills & Qualifications)
* Become the company QS and attend NICEIC annual audits.
* City & Guilds 18th Edition certification.
* NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation.
* Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent certification.
* Skilled in fault finding, testing, and inspecting the work of others.
* Supervisory experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and technology usage.
* Experience working on social housing contracts or similar environments.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Possess necessary tools.
Package Available
* Competitive salary: £50,000.00 - £55,000.00 per annum (3-month initial review).
* Annual salary review.
* Company vehicle and fuel card or car allowance.
* 30 days of holiday, including bank holidays.
* Additional holiday days after each full year (up to a maximum of 5 additional days).
