We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing field sales team As a Business Development Manager at Monarch you will establish and develop an expanding portfolio of products within the Monarch Water product range, focused toward domestic Water Softening and Conditioning products, ensuring brand and product loyalty and establishing these ranges as the ‘go to’ water treatment solutions for Merchants and Installers. Working within a defined region and developing repeat business through existing accounts and new customers alike. The role is biased toward driving contractor demand utilising our Accredited Installer Scheme and the pull through of sales via a Merchant stockist network. Key to the role will be the identification of competitor strongholds and deployment of tactics to leverage the Monarch Water product range and service, alongside outstanding salespersonship, driving new revenue streams to achieve the sales target. The successful candidate will be based in the OX, RG, SN, HP, M, LU, GL, NN area. Main Duties: To deliver sales target or better and grow the customer base To increase market share and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty To help create and maintain a happy, energized & focused customer base To effectively gather and feedback to the business, new and emerging technology and opportunities to target new business growth Attend trade shows and intercompany events as required by the company To be commercially aware and focused in delivering the company’s targets for new and existing business as defined by your prescribed company targets. To develop sales strategies that can be deployed against our competitors to secure new business To follow up on sales leads within 24 hours of issue and follow up on quotations in a timely manner, providing feedback on won or lost opportunities. To provide periodic reports as requested on sales activities, identifying opportunities, challenges and plan sales activities accordingly to ensure adequate market coverage To update and maintain accurate customer account records using the defined company IT systems. Requirements Proven track record in a similar product and sales role Strong negotiation and communication skills. Driven self-starter with a passion for achieving targets and driving growth. Ability to work independently and in a team environment Able to take ownership and deliver exceptional results and customer service Confident in making decisions and ensuring the customer is at the heart of them.
