We are really excited to offer this opportunity to apply for Senior Medicines Management Technician in Cancer Services at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. You’ll be working as an integral member of an established Cancer Pharmacy team in one of the UK’s largest and busiest Cancer centres. You will join an existing team, working alongside other senior MMTs, MMA, specialist cancer and junior rotational pharmacists, nursing staff, doctors and patients. You will have chance to develop your expertise and support the wider cancer team. The team provides pharmacy services to oncology, haematology and specialist admissions wards as well as the Teenage and Young Adult unit. NUH is now a fully commissioned CAR-T centre. The cancer team at NUH are looking for a highly motivated colleague to join our integrated forward-thinking service in the provision of an NHS-England accredited CAR-T program. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading centre at the forefront of research and clinical innovation in haemato-oncology which will provide the CAR-T service for the East Midlands. In addition to the below summary you need to familiarize yourself with full Job Description and Person Specification documents attached to this advert The Role Will Include Facilitating smooth transfer of cancer medication related issues across the interface, prior to and at admission, transfer and discharge. Medication management at ward level, including complex medicines history taking, patient counselling, stock management, controlled drugs and high cost drugs. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the pregnancy prevention plan associated with specific cancer drugs. Opportunities to be involved in quality improvement projects involving cancer drugs and clinical audits. Working with the patient, their carers and primary care colleagues to support the Discharge Medicines Service and safe ongoing medicines use. Supporting the wider Pharmacy Team with weekend working and allocated dispensary slots (approximately 2 hours per week).
