Job Advert Role Description:
The Priory Hospital Middleton St George provides individualised treatment and care for adults with mental health needs, presenting with complex and challenging behaviours, in a safe and supportive environment. Our multi-disciplinary teams provide care for up to 107 service users across 8 wards, focusing on excellent care and empowering service users towards independence.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide clinical, professional and operational leadership to the Occupational Therapy (OT) service.
2. Deliver highly specialised and advanced OT assessment, treatment and management for patients.
3. Ensure practice meets agreed local and national standards and clinical governance requirements.
4. Participate in service quality improvement initiatives, including clinical audits.
5. Oversee student placements within the OT team.
6. Attend required meetings and represent the OT department.
7. Take responsibility for identified budget responsibilities related to the role.
