This role will endeavour to support the client to deliver industry leading services. As the forefront of the business, it will be expected that you will hold the best in business customer service to all stakeholders. Working in the control room a security CCTV controller is responsible for monitoring and managing surveillance cameras. You will ensure the safety and security of the site by monitoring live footage, recognising potential security threats, and responding appropriately to incidents. The controller must be able to follow established protocols, communicate effectively with security personnel on the ground, and document all activities and incidents within the control room.
A valid SIA Door Supervisor, Guarding license is essential to be considered for this role.
Training Requirements
Candidates must undergo specialized training in security control room operations and alarm management software as well as comprehensive knowledge of security systems.
Key Responsibilities
As a Security Control Room Operative, you will be responsible for:
1. Operating the Security Alarm Monitoring Unit, effectively responding to security events and incidents promptly.
2. Enforcing security protocols for all staff, contractors, and visitors through the systems in place.
3. Providing essential security advice and alerts when required.
4. Monitoring and ensuring the functionality of protective security measures to secure personnel, processes, and property.
Additional Duties
Act as the primary point of contact for all security-related activities within the clients site.
Future Responsibilities
1. Conduct security investigations, review and retrieve CCTV footage, and assist in project work as needed.
2. Manage key allocation, administer access control privileges, and carry out audits of security systems in compliance with established security policies.
3. Develop comprehensive assignment instructions and produce internal process documentation.
4. Create and approve low-level work orders and purchase orders.
5. Maintain and review live reporting systems and data to meet security reporting requirements.
6. Oversee intercom traffic from operational sites and address non-security maintenance and repair tasks for fire and life safety systems.
7. Facilitate the integration of security systems with broader IoT devices outside the security team.
8. Delegate tasks and provide clear direction to the security guard force.

The security control room is a self-contained facility equipped with welfare amenities and office space, designed to support the effective management of security operations.
