Job Title : Paediatric Occupational Therapist Band : 7 Hours : 37.5 hours per week Location : Polegate, East Sussex Rate : Competitive, to be discussed upon application An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team based in Polegate, East Sussex. This position is available for an immediate start, offering competitive rates. Key Responsibilities : The Paediatric Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality assessments and interventions to children with neurodevelopmental conditions and special educational needs. They will develop personalised care plans, promote independence, and improve the quality of life for patients. The therapist will liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care, participate in service and business planning activities, and maintain professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They will also comply with the Trust’s policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience : Recognised Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent (qualified and registered Occupational Therapist). Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Registered Member of professional body. Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience in paediatrics with an interest in neurodevelopmental conditions, special educational needs, and knowledge of paediatric equipment prescription including seating and/or upper-limb interventions. Ability to travel across a variety of sites in East Sussex within a timely manner. Expertise in occupational therapy assessments and interventions. A high level of clinical skills as evidenced by peer review and reports. Evidence of incorporating core values of commitment, trust, integrity, and kindness into their work with others. Willingness to work flexibly across a range of clinic models, venues, and days of the week. Good communication skills and level of IT literacy. An interest to advance professionally as evidenced by attendance and contribution to reflective practice meetings, reliability meetings, and/or other CPD events within their professional clinical practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
