As a Community Nurse within the Immunisations team, you will be integral to the care of the patients during their time with Bridgewater Community Trust. Supporting with winter pressures with planned vaccination rollouts and emergency immunisation programmes to reduce outbreaks.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Immunisation Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting public health by administering vaccinations and providing education to patients regarding immunisations. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and an understanding of anatomy, ensuring that all procedures are performed safely and effectively.
Duties
* Administer vaccinations to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to immunisation, including reviewing medical histories and identifying any contraindications.
* Educate patients and their families about the importance of immunisations, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
* Maintain accurate records of immunisations administered, ensuring compliance with local health regulations.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote vaccination campaigns and improve community health outcomes.
* Stay updated on current immunisation schedules, guidelines, and best practices to provide the highest standard of care.
Qualifications
* Registered Paediatrics Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid nursing licence.
* Proven experience in patient care, preferably in a clinical or community health setting.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to immunisation practices.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to patients and families.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* A compassionate approach towards patient care, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You’ll need to have the following experience:
* A minimum of 6 months paid experience in a Children's community nursing environment within a Community Trust in the last 3 years.
* NMC Professional Registration.
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
