Job Title: Finance Manager Salary: £40,000-£50,000 Pro Rata, depending on experience, plus a generous pension contribution Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire Job Summary: Responsible for the financial reporting for the Operating and Holding companies. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating and ensuring the completion of annual statutory accounts for both group companies. Preparing monthly management and end-of-year accounts for two group companies, including variance analysis reports and forecasts. Preparing monthly project cost analysis. Maintaining financial records for equipment, including inputting AP invoices and payments, running payroll for one director, and cash forecasting. Monitoring and analysing accounting data, presenting financial reports to the CEO and management team, including regularly updated financial forecasts and annual budgets. Establishing, implementing, and enforcing proper accounting standards, policies, procedures, and principles. Providing recommendations and continually reviewing and recommending improvements to systems and procedures, initiating corrective actions as needed. Meeting financial accounting objectives. Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions. Person Specification Job Title: Finance Manager Qualifications: Part Qualified, QBE, studying towards CIMA / ACCA / ACA Essential Skills: Proven experience as an accountant, accounting manager, accounting supervisor, or finance manager Experience using SAP for accounting Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel Ability to manipulate large amounts of data Desirable Skills: Experience preparing consolidated management accounts Experience delivering financial presentations (PowerPoint) Knowledge of foreign currency transactions Work Experience: Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations Experience using SAP Business One in a financial environment Competencies: High level of organisational skills Attention to detail and accuracy Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work to tight deadlines Presentation skills Confidence in establishing order and procedures within the finance discipline
