About the Role
As our Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of process optimisation and quality assurance, working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance manufacturing excellence.
Key Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer
1. Process Excellence & Quality
o Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analysing workflows, optimising space utilisation, and enhancing equipment layouts.
o Develop and maintain process validation protocols using Standard Operating Procedures.
o Conduct Process Capability studies and Gauge R&R analyses.
o Manage and document engineering procedures while ensuring compliance and regular reviews.
2. Technical Leadership & Training
o Mentor junior and graduate engineers on manufacturing equipment and engineering disciplines.
o Support production teams with technical expertise and troubleshooting.
o Develop and deliver operator training programs.
o Collaborate with supervisors to maintain high standards of workmanship.
3. Quality & Customer Focus
o Partner with quality engineers on investigations and 8D reports.
o Support internal and external audits.
o Review and implement customer documentation requirements.
o Assist in PFMEA risk evaluations.
4. New Product Development
o Support the introduction of new products and processes.
o Design jigs and fixtures.
o Develop measurement methods for critical characteristics.
o Create assembly instructions and technical drawings.
5. Equipment & Systems Management
o Collaborate with maintenance teams on equipment servicing and repairs.
o Support preventive maintenance programs.
o Contribute to business management systems and KPI reporting.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
* Proven experience in manufacturing process improvement.
* Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
* Experience with process validation and verification.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and leadership abilities.
