On 1 April 2019 Cwm Taf University Health Board changed its name to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board as it took responsibility for providing healthcare services for the people in the Bridgend County Borough area. Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB now provides primary, community, hospital, and mental health services to the 450,000 people living in three County Boroughs Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Ideally situated between Wales' capital city, Cardiff, to the south, the coastal town of Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons to the north, we operate within a vibrant community, rich in history and heritage.
Services will continue to be delivered across a network of Community Clinics, Health Centres and Community Hospitals supported by three District General Hospitals, Princess of Wales hospital in Bridgend, Prince Charles hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, and Royal Glamorgan hospital in Llantrisant.

Job Overview
This is a key post within the Executive Directorate, providing full business/project management support across the function and leading and directing the provision of a highly complex range of general management duties.
The post holder will support the Chief of Staff with the smooth running of corporate business and will engage with staff and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Therefore, the post holder will be required to communicate, negotiate and influence to ensure that high priority business objectives are achieved.
To be successful in this role we are looking for candidates with a proven track record of implementing change, managing senior stakeholder relationships, and providing business and governance management services within complex organisations.

Essential criteria
* Educated to Masters Level, or possessing equivalent knowledge, training and experience, including health service management, change management.
* Possess or be working towards ILM level 4 qualification.
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of health and social care structures, policy and governance frameworks.
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of health service planning processes.
* Knowledge of project management processes.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Experience and proven track record of operating in a senior management or strategic development role within a health and/or social care environment.
* Experience of effective partnership working with other agencies, third sector and stakeholders.
* A proven track record of dealing with highly complicated situations.
* Knowledge and experience of developing and implementing strategies and plans for the delivery of services.
* Successful track record in change management, implementation of improvement initiatives and service development.
* Previous experience in the interpretation of national policy directives to inform local delivery programmes.
* Evidence of working within highly complex organisations/environments.
* Evidence of successfully influencing senior managers and other professionals.
* Experience of public/community involvement and engagement.
