Summary of the role : Managing incoming and current labour and the whole client interface within the parameter of set clients, projects or sites. Labour Managers provide a vital link between clients and candidates. Key Responsibilities: Site engagement with supervisors, foremen, works managers upwards Site engagement with workers Be the link between the recruitment team and the client for resourcing needs Resource and recruit alongside the recruitment team to ensure client needs are met Ensuring day to day queries are answered and problems are solved from the client and workers Ensuring new starters have their relevant site inductions and training organised through the relevant DSG support teams Ensuring new starter emails are sent to the onboarding team Ensuring new starters have the legal and contractual compliant PPE to be on site Ensuring site stores are stocking with DSG PPE All finishers and site movers are communicated to the Regional Support Partner Reviewing and communicating weekly holiday to site Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the client. Gathering pipeline of recruitment needs for forward planning purposes Maintain a strong company image at all time Skills Full Driving Licence Ability to multi-task Basic knowledge of the Civil Engineering and Construction industry Strong administration, with excellent organisation and time management Effective communicator (Written and Verbal) Ability to act on initiative and work proactively Discreet and trustworthy being able to deal sensitively and privately with confidential information Intermediate MS office skills Willingness to learn and develop, progressing to full Labour Manager Output / Reporting: Project-related documentation (internally and externally) Site engagement Reports Weekly Diary Report Leavers report Vehicle allocation report Working closely with the allocated with the Operations manager / Head of operations to ensure all Labour related and project related queries are actioned Working closely with the recruitment department to ensure all Labour requisitions are closed out in timely manner Cross departmental collaboration to improve business communication and performance Key Communication Channels: Communicate with all of the operations team and workers Meetings include weekly huddles, client specific huddles, client labour meetings, site engagement meetings, meetings with workers.
