East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) are looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled senior physiotherapist with excellent communication skills to work as a Specialist Physiotherapist within our MSK Assessment and Triage (MATS) Team.
The successful candidate will be offered training and mentoring from our experienced Extended Scope Practitioner's (ESPs) to meet the demands of the role. ECCH MSK covers a large geographical area including Great Yarmouth and Waveney and North Norfolk, and we are part of NoW MSK, who provide community MSK services across Norfolk and Waveney.
The successful candidate would be expected to work across all MSK hubs as required to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
1. To provide Specialist triage, assessment and treatment where appropriate for patients with complex musculoskeletal (MSK), chronic pain and rheumatological conditions to ensure progress through the appropriate care pathway. Including patients referred to secondary care.
2. To act as a source of expertise and advice on the Physiotherapy assessment and management of MSK dysfunction; providing advice to patients, senior Physiotherapists, other healthcare professionals, GPs and consultants.
3. To assist the ESPs for the MSK Assessment and Triage Service in the running of the Service.
4. To develop and maintain skills required to practice at an advanced level and to use these skills to aid diagnosis and develop treatment plans within individual clinical competencies which may include imaging/pathology request and interpretation.

Job responsibilities
Clinical
1. To have an active role in the assessment of a wide range of Musculo-skeletal, chronic pain and rheumatologically conditions based on advanced theoretical knowledge of anatomy, physiology, neuroanatomy, and pathology, often in situations where conflicting evidence and/or complex bio-psychosocial issues are present.
2. To communicate some highly complex patient related information effectively to ensure collaborative working within the MSK, pain and rheumatology services/teams and with multidisciplinary colleagues across health and social care sectors to ensure the delivery of a coordinated multidisciplinary care.
3. To accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and to organise this effectively and efficiently with regards to clinical priorities and use of time.
4. To undertake comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills and to formulate individualised management and treatment plans.
5. To develop and maintain skills required to practice at an advanced level and use an extended scope of practice beyond that of Physiotherapy.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy.
* Registration with HCPC
* Evidence of relevant post graduate courses / CPD
* Have or working towards relevant MSc or evidence of academic / intellectual level equivalent to MSc level
* Membership of clinical special interest group
* Previous experience of requesting imaging and bloods
