Master Data Process Transformation Analyst
Job Title: Master Data Process Transformation Analyst
Location: Nottingham
Contract: Fixed Term (Ends 1st Aug 25)
The Orion programme (SAP ERP Modernisation) is the biggest and most significant transformation programme undertaken by the Company in recent years, and the biggest change activity that we have committed to delivering in the next three years.
This programme will modernise the SAP platform, systems, processes and reporting across Boots, No7 BC, and Boots Opticians by moving from three separate SAP ECC6 systems onto a single SAP S/4HANA platform, enabling our ‘Stronger Together’ strategy while creating opportunities to simplify and improve our ways of working.
About the role
As a key member of the programme team reporting to the Transformation Manager – Master Data, the Transformation Analyst – Master Data is a secondment/fixed term contract position working exclusively on the Orion program until the successful completion of the first phase (role ends 1st Aug 2025).
Bringing their expertise and knowledge from a background in end-to-end master data management, this role will be focused on delivery of the future business process for Business Partners, Materials and Site (store) records. Working alongside a diverse team of Business, IT and other process experts, they will be active in the programme testing & cutover phases through to go-live and hypercare.
This programme is in-flight, so you will have support from your surrounding team members. Key activities will include Master Data Management, supporting evaluation of design decisions, preparing and supporting User Acceptance Testing, providing inputs to training content and supporting business readiness tasks. Previous project experience is desirable to help you partner with cross-functional team members to deliver a solution that meets the business needs.
What you'll need to have
* Experience operating and improving master data management solutions for Business Partners, Materials or Site (store) records.
* The ability to explain complex issues to those with a non-technical background and build strong relationships with business partners across the business.
* Ability to move between big picture & small detail over the lifetime of the programme – ensuring that the future solution does everything it needs to, to deliver on the desired business outcomes.
* Excellent networking skills – we’ll need to understand and represent the user experience across the business. No single person has all of this knowledge today, so the challenge will be to build & use a broad network to ensure all user groups are represented.
* Attention to detail with the ability to spot potential errors or identify areas of focus/challenge within processes and systems.
* Critical thinker, willing to challenge with a view to process and systems improvements.
It would be great if you also have
* Project experience of designing and implementing master data management solutions.
* Experience of implementing SAP S/4HANA.
* Experience of delivering significant business change.
* Strong data and analytical skills.
