What will your role be?
Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Sheet Metal / Metal Fabricator / Welder Journeyperson or Apprentice will work in collaboration with the Halifax installation team:
Responsibilities:
1. Assess job site and set up equipment prior to commencing work
2. Follow safety protocol and comply with safety and occupational standards
3. Install ducting & equipment as per diagrams and direction from the Supervisor
4. Carry out HVAC installation, which includes ducting, fasteners on hangers and ducts and insulation;
5. Anchor and hook-up HVAC machinery such as air handling units, fans, chillers, ventilation equipment
6. Measure, cut, grind, fit, align and tack weld parts
7. Using the design drawings, measure and layout metal plate and tubing during the installation process.
8. Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
9. Layout construct patterns and templates
10. Read, interpret, plan and execute from drawings, blueprints and procedures
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and a Canadian Government Security clearance.

11. Relocation Bonus: up to $4000
12. Sheet Metal Salary: $ – $ per hour
13. Metal Fabricator Salary: $$ per hour
14. Welder Salary: $$ per hour
Which candidate profile are we looking for?
15. Holds a valid Red Seal accreditation (preferred) or is a registered Apprentice level 3 or 4.
16. Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights.
17. Good work quality and ability to work steadily to meet project timelines.
18. Good physical dexterity to work in tight or awkward locations.
19. No criminal record, must be able to meet security clearance requirements.
