Job Title: Business Development Executive
Salary: Up to £30,000 basic. OTE circa £55k
Location: Manchester or Northampton
Reporting into: Business Development Manager and Commercial Director
About the Team
The Business Development Team at CBTax is responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new business opportunities. Working closely with marketing, R&D tax, and client delivery teams, the team plays a key role in expanding our client base and maintaining strong relationships. This is a fast-paced, results-driven function that thrives on strategic prospecting, consultative selling, and high-value client interactions.

In this Role, You'll
1. Identify and engage potential clients
2. Manage a structured sales pipeline
3. Conduct outbound calls, emails, and networking activities
4. Qualify leads and book high-value client meetings
5. Develop a deep understanding of R&D tax relief
6. Collaborate with the marketing team
7. Maintain accurate records of interactions
8. Achieve and exceed sales targets
We're Seeking Someone with Experience Including
1. Proven success in B2B sales, business development, account management, customer service or telesales.
2. Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment and/or delivering exceptional customer service.
3. Strong communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives.
4. Ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
5. Resilient, self-motivated, and driven by uncapped earning potential.
Nice-to-Have:
1. Experience in financial services, tax consultancy, or R&D tax relief.
2. Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
3. Previous experience in a high-volume outbound sales role.
4. Understanding of lead generation strategies and sales automation tools.
