With offices across the South West, Burton Sweet assists businesses, charities and individuals with their financial needs. We are looking for an enthusiastic, client focused Accounts Assistant Manager to join our small but growing charity accounts and independent examination team.
About the Role
You will provide trusted support and advice to facilitate success, growth and achievement at every stage of the clients journey.
Your responsibilities will include line management of our small, growing charity accounts and independent examination team, support and management of a portfolio of charity clients, preparation of statutory financial statements, both ‘receipts and payments’ & accruals under the Charity SORP, independent examination of financial statements, preparation of statutory accounts for small companies under FRS102 1A (charity subsidiaries) and tax return preparation work for both companies and charities.
The ideal candidate will have relevant accountancy practice experience, indicative qualifications (AAT L4 or ACCA/ACA, part qualified considered) and good knowledge of relevant IT software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Digita, Microsoft Office
About You
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, a proven ability to organise, prioritise and multitask as well as the ability to work independently, be proactive and take the initiative.
Charity expertise will be developed as part of the role.
The role offers a competitive salary of £37,000 and a full-time permanent position based in our Bristol office.
