What we do:

What we are looking for:
Promohire needs a skilled mechanic to help maintain the fleet. You should have the following:
* The ability to fault-find and repair classic and modern vehicles
* Excellent communication and be able to work in a team
* Good organisation skills for updating vehicle records
* Strong time management and the ability to prioritise
* City & Guilds in Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent, or time served
* City & Guilds Level 3 (preferred)
* Experience in bodywork, welding and structural repairs (preferred)
* Electrical and diagnostic knowledge (preferred)
* A valid UK driver’s license is required for this role

What you will be doing:
This hands-on role involves repairing and maintaining a broad range of different vehicles, in various mechanical states depending on their age and use. Daily tasks include routine maintenance, servicing, and taking vehicles for their MOT’s. You will need to replace all faulty parts as needed and conduct emergency repairs when there’s a breakdown.
Overtime and some weekend work may be required, depending on the project.
Your experience:
You’ll be an experienced vehicle mechanic, having worked on multiple vehicles for several years. You will be City & Guilds certified or equivalent, or have a vast amount of overall experience in the automotive industry. Experience working with vintage and classic vehicles is preferred but not essential.

Pay: £18.00-£21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
