Working as part of the team, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Manager to support our Senior Wealth Manager. Our client is an Appointed Representative of St. James’s Place Wealth Management, who through quality, integrity, and excellence, are a highly trusted source of advice to clients as their financial needs evolve over the years. Established in 1995 our client provides a holistic approach to Wealth Management; they are currently looking after approx. 3000 clients with about £800m Funds under Management serviced by16 Wealth Managers (Advisers).
The Role – Business Manager:
Duties include but are not exclusive to:
Business Submission (drive business through)
* Manage and drive cases on the go
* Address delays
* Deal with any SJP admin issues / funds unmatched
* Hand off cases to our paraplanning partner and liaise as necessary for additional information / ensure cases are dealt with in a timely manner
* Checking SLs before they are submitted to SJP
* Chasing clients on outstanding docs / confirmation happy to proceed
* Manage Final Salary cases through / non transfer proposals
Client Servicing
* Manage withdrawals / encashments
* Manage any drawdown cases
* Deal with client queries where able
* Ensure all clients have their annual review meetings booked with a view to provide outstanding service and protect ongoing advice charges
Business Tracking
* Estimate IAF projections each month for SWM
* Manage Turnover – business issued correctly
* Update Business Tracker and track business issued
Paraplanning
* Supporting on paraplanning where necessary, including;
* New money cases / EIS & VCT / IHT planning
* Protection (predominantly IHT cases)
* Undertaking analysis of investment transfers via FE Analytics and preparing transfer proposals
* Running Cash Flow models via Voyant to support review meetings or transfers
* Supporting in preparation of review documentation
Project and Business Development Work
Undertaking projects to determine where opportunity may lie in the existing client bank
* Business Development & Marketing projects surrounding existing or prospective clients
* Analysis of source of issued business to refine business development strategy
* Analysis of Costs
Training Support and Team Oversight
* Ongoing training and support to new Associates
* Sharing best practice amongst the PSS
* Oversee and support other PSS who are part of SWM team
* Train and develop these PSS where needed and appropriate
* Process improvements
* Regularly review team efficiency with a view to enhance and develop
* Work with AAG Operations Manager to share feedback on outsourced partners and technology with a view to improve and enhance the services available to the practice
* Assist the Training and Development Manager with developing the wider PSS
* Support the Operations Manager and the T&D Manager where needed
