Production Operative
Location:Bury, BL8
Hours of work:4on 4off (2days/2nights/4off) 6am-6pm/6pm-6am
Rate of pay: £11.91/hr
(Overtime: paid at time and a half and double time at weekends)
Company Information:
Our client specialises in the production of textile products for automotive vehicles and are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Production Operative to join their team. Initially this will start as a temporary position with the opportunity of long-term prospects for the right candidate. The purpose of this role is to support textile production operations in a variety of areas across the site as required by the business. As a Production Operative the role requires versatility, an adaptable personality and the ability to adjust to change in a fast-paced environment.
Main duties:
Working as part of the production team
Handling textiles by inputting into the machines and taking the finished product out
Booking the products on and off using the Kanban System
Monitoring and maintaining product specifications by carrying out adjustments as required
Labelling, weighing and wrapping rolls in polythene and moving the product to storage. Maintaining product records
Maintaining the highest possible levels of quality, efficiency and maintenance
Complying with Health & Safety practices and Company policies
Ensuring that work areas are kept clean, clear and hazard free
Performing any other task that is of a reasonable request in line with the production department.
Person specification:
Must haveexperience in Production Environment
Excellent health and safety knowledge
An organised team player with strong communication skills
Keen eye for detail and housekeeping
Ability to work to tight deadlines and communicate at all levels
