Engineering Supervisor
Engineering Supervisor within hydraulic valves and electronic control systems required for my client near to Southam. The engineering supervisor would be carrying out activities related to day to day management of the manufacturing team. The successful engineering supervisor will need to have a CNC engineering background, with the understanding and operating skills to run CNC machines, within the production workshop.
Position Overview
1. Ensure goods are produced to engineering drawings on time, complying with the ISO9001:2015 quality procedures.
2. Develop and assist in methods on continual improvement for effective manufacturing methods and tooling selection.
3. Day to day management of the team including but not limited to, recruitment, training, performance and absence management.
4. Ensuring the manufacturing team are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to do their roles.
5. Overseeing the whole manufacturing department including programming, operating and daily maintenance procedures.
6. Operating and setting HAAS 5 Axis machines and providing guidance and delegating tasks to a CNC operator.
Position Requirements
1. Apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Several years of proven experience in a similar role / similar industry.
3. Comprehensive experience with 5 Axis machining and CNC automation.
4. Experience with machining various materials such as aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel.
5. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
6. Based within a commutable distance of Southam.
7. Full UK driving licence.
Position Remuneration
1. Salary: £40,000 - dependent upon experience, skill and qualification.
2. Working hours: 08:30am to 17:00pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 08:30am to 16:00pm (1hr unpaid lunch).
3. Holiday package: 31 days (inclusive of bank holidays). After 2 years service, 2 additional days + further day of holiday entitlement is awarded for each 5 years of service up to a total of 36 days.
4. Sick pay: (after probationary period completed): Full pay for the first 12 weeks, then 50% of pay for a further 12 weeks per year.
5. Private medical insurance: after 6 months probationary.
6. Pension: 5% employee, 3% employer.
7. Discretionary annual bonus.
