Our GT Private Assurance team specialises in looking after the personal tax affairs of our exciting client base. You will manage a client portfolio, dealing directly with, and building relationships with your clients, preparing their annual tax return and helping them ensure that their personal tax affairs are well organised and compliant. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior colleagues on advisory projects giving our clients expert tailored support to identify tax efficiencies and opportunities to reduce their exposure to tax liabilities. Our Tax practice is comprised of over 15 different teams with over 40 partners, working with clients in sectors including, media and entertainment, technology, finance and non-for-profit. A look into your future Our three-year graduate programme is designed to take you on a journey from graduate to professionally qualified. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll experience during your first three years: • You'll get challenging on-the-ground experience in a compliance role with exposure to advisory opportunities, meeting clients, and helping them to operate in a more tax-efficient manner to realise and preserve wealth • You'll be carrying out technical research, producing tax reports to advise clients and liaising with HM Revenue & Customs on their behalf • You’ll have secondment opportunities and will build internal networks • You'll keep up to date with and monitor developments in UK and International tax regulation • On the job learning, alongside a structured training programme • Time to study and revise for your exams, supported by us all the way to become ATT and then the opportunity to become CTA qualified Knowing that you’re right for us We’ve set ambitious growth targets for the firm, and we need the right people to help us achieve these. As a trainee, in-person working is important and is a great way to help you learn even more about the firm and the work we do, as well building relationships and connections with your peers. Once you know the team you will be joining, we will advise of their working patterns, and of course where required there is flex within this. Study You’ll need to be focused, committed, and organised as a trainee, to balance your study and work requirements. You will be provided with study leave to help you complete your professional qualification but you will also find you need to study in your spare time outside of your working hours.
