An opportunity has arisen for an Engineer – Embedded Software to join the Electrical Controls & Software department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. About the role To provide additional software design capabilities to the Advanced Software team and the wider Fortescue Zero. What you will do Deriving software requirements from ECU feature requirements Implement HW drivers either directly in C or by configuring Autosar modules to meet requirements. Integrating handwritten C code into an Autosar framework or with Application software C code (automatically generated using Model Based Design methodology) directly. Working closely with other members of the team as well as the hardware team to make sure the SW developed meet the feature requirements at ECU level. Support ISO26262 process with traceability from requirement to implementation, Support ECU testing on HIL rig Individual workload planning to strict deadlines and milestones. About you Good engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline Bare metal embedded SW development in C on Arm CPU architecture preferably using Xilinx or TI processors. Experience of mainstream automotive ECU software development for production following ISO26262 process. Proficient with ETAS or Vector Autosar authoring tools Experience writing MISRA C compliant code. Experience with using static analysis tools like Polyspace or LDRA toolchain. Experience/understanding of test, measurement and debug techniques. Proficient with debugging tools like Lauterbach Trace32. What is in it for you?
