Job Summary
This role sits within the Cambridge Growth Company (CGC), a subsidiary of Homes England. The CGC is a small but growing cross-disciplinary team of professionals with a focus on supporting the Government’s ambition for Cambridge.
The Business Support Officer provides efficient and proactive administrative support. You will help to facilitate the daily functions and operations, acting as a first point of contact for the team. You will support a dedicated team with the coordination of corporate tasks that relate to activities such as information management, recruitment and induction.
You will also coordinate the daily affairs of the team’s logistical needs in event planning, meetings and team communication, including supporting the smooth delivery of key events and meetings across Greater Cambridge.
Job Description
You'll be comfortable supporting multiple stakeholders with complex administrative tasks, aiming to resolve these quickly and efficiently. You will also be responsible for facilitating and servicing meetings and being a point of contact. You will be proficient in providing support services with excellent organisational, communication and digital skills, with the ability to work at pace with multiple priorities.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the CGC’s objectives. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
Person Specification
As an experienced administrator you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
You will be able to work calmly and effectively when under pressure and against upcoming deadlines. You will have a positive can-do attitude and will be proactive in identifying emerging challenges and providing solutions. You will be articulate, dynamic, energetic and self-motivated.
