PATTERN MAKER SOUTH QUEENSFERRY £36,500 DEPENDING ON EXPEREINCE Progress Rail are looking to recruit a Pattern Maker to work in a safe and productive manner, producing new and altering existing patterns, manufacture and install methods features and provide a service to the foundry. Update required inspection sheets and rectify any non-conformances reported in adherence to Company quality procedures. All within planned and agreed time scales and to the required quality standard. THE ROLE: As a Pattern Maker you will be required to: Working to risk assessments and method statements where they are in place Modify patterns to engineering drawings supplied Complete inspection reports Investigate and rectify, where required, any non-conformances reported Complete tasks to an agreed time scale to meet production requirements Checking plant and equipment are safe and fit for purpose prior to use Liaise with foundry production personnel in order to progress castings through the foundry Flexible and willing to work additional hours where reasonably required Work within Health, Safety & Environmental procedures Ensures the accurate use of the Time & Attendance systems Respond professionally and innovatively to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers, ensuring that quality standards are never conceded. Is aware, and actively reduces the incident rate, of Non-Conforming errors within the team. Creates a Clean-as-you-go policy and maintains W.I.P. and stock areas Ensure plant and equipment is maintained safely and fit for purpose, reporting and resolving defects. Willingness to be trained in other production areas.
