Permanent Opportunity: Project Controls Engineer / Planner
Location: London (Hybrid Working – Flexible Adult Working)
Salary: £50,000 - £58,000 per annum (depending on experience) + car allowance
Type: Permanent – Consultancy (Infrastructure Projects - Client Facing - 37.5 hours)
We are recruiting for a Project Controls Engineer / Planner on behalf of a leading project and programme management consultancy that delivers high-profile projects across defence, aviation, rail, water, and utilities sectors across the globe. This role more specifically is for the Southeast and London area.
This is a permanent position offering a balance of hybrid working (typically 2/3 days from home) and engaging client-facing responsibilities.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll play a key part in their Project Controls group, supporting performance reporting and analysis for a diverse portfolio of exciting infrastructure projects. The consultancy offers excellent professional development opportunities and exposure to some of the UK's most prestigious programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain detailed work breakdown structures and performance baselines.
* Implement progress and cost monitoring tools to track project performance.
* Produce comprehensive project controls reports and deliver performance insights.
* Engage directly with clients as part of their infrastructure delivery teams.
Requirements
* Proven experience in planning and scheduling, including developing and analysing schedules.
* Proficiency in Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office applications.
* Solid understanding of engineering and construction management principles.
* Industry experience in nuclear, rail, highways, aviation, or defence sectors.
* Eligibility to obtain SC/DV clearance is essential.
